The 150 year old Ut Kiet ancient house has just been opened to visitors after being meticulously renovated with Japanese assistance. The house is built on an area of roughly 1000 square metres and is composed of five sections. The house is unique in that it boasts elaborate carving and decoration of traditional patterns: animals, flowers…

Mekong Folksong (Don ca Tai tu) - the performance of this kind is quite popular among the Mekong dwellers. It would be a miss of identities of the Mekong tour without the show.

Highlight of Vinh Long is An Binh island. Covering around 60km square, the island has 4 villages: An Binh, Binh Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Ninh and Dong Phu. The former capital of Dong Thap province, Sa Dec gained some small fame as the setting for "The Lover", a film based on the novel by Marguerite Duras. Among the Vietnamese, Sa Dec is famous for its many nurseries cultivating flowers and bonsai trees.

Other highlights include visits to local orchards, flower markets and fish farms.
